The Noah's Ark Riverside Basecamp
Flanked by both the Arkansas River and six of Colorado's majestic 14,000-foot peaks, the Noah's Ark facility and 11-acre campground will not only captivate you with breathtaking views, but will also serve as an ideal location to begin your Colorado adventure. Located just south of Buena Vista, Colorado, Noah's Ark is easily accessible from Colorado Springs, Denver and Breckenridge. All of our Browns Canyon trips launch from the private put-in on our property, taking away the inconvenience of shuttling to a public put-in location. You will check-in at our log lodge, containing amenities such as a retail store, snack bar, equipment rental area, and a full service kitchen. Showers are also available for those who raft or camp with us. Delicious homemade meals served in our riverside pavilion and riverfront camping can be added to any trip.

Camping
At Noah's Ark, the fun doesn't end once you've hit the shore. Our scenic riverfront campground has a myriad of activities to keep you and your group occupied during your stay, including Frisbee golf, fishing and volleyball. Our half-dome, weatherproof tents are perfect for housing 10-15 participants and can be divided to accommodate a coed group. However, if you would prefer bringing your own tents, we have space for that as well. Each campsite has its own fire ring for late night group chats and warmth while spending an evening gazing at the night sky. All of the necessary amenities, including showers and bathroom facilities, are close to the campsites for your convenience.

Food Service
Noah's Ark is one of few companies on the Arkansas river with a licensed food service program. Coupled with our riverside dining facilities, this distinguishes us from the rest. Under the direction of our full time food service manager, the kitchen staff prepares fresh, homemade meals for all of our full and extended day trips, as well as custom meals on our property. Many groups will take advantage of this convenient option and add a meal before or after their trip. The meals are served in our covered pavilion, and we can accommodate groups of all sizes. Sample menu items include cinnamon rolls, pancakes, and eggs for breakfast; fresh deli sandwiches, barbeque chicken, and tortilla wraps for lunch; and flank steak, fajitas, and spaghetti for dinner.
